Šiliņš was recognized as LIBL’s October most valuable player

In the first month of the regular championship, Šiliņš averaged 14.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, two assists and an efficiency ratio of 23.2 in the six games played.

At the beginning of the season, Liepājnieki first defeated the last season’s champion “VEF Rīga” (98:93), and then won 94:90 over Tallinn’s “Kalev”/”Cramo”. In the next four games, “Liepāja” experienced two failures, losing to “Ogre” and “Avis”/”Utilitas” of Rapla.

With four wins in six matches, “Liepāja” occupies the third place in the tournament table, behind only “Ventspils” and “Prometey” Slobožanska.

Six Latvian teams, nine teams from Estonia and Slobojansk “Prometey” from Ukraine compete in the LIBL.
