Myles Turner offers himself to the Los Angeles Lakers

The Indiana Pacers’ Myles Turner has been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for months. The center has now spoken out about the potential trade, offering himself to the reeling franchise.

Like Turner in the podcast by Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN) announced that the Lakers should put two first-round picks on the table for him and Buddy Hield, who was also traded. “If I were the Lakers, I would look at it very carefully, especially given their current position,” Turner said.

“I know what I can give a team. I can take responsibility, block shots, hit the three and make plays in general,” Turner continued. This possible deal has been outlined for months, in which Turner and Hield could come to the Lakes for Russell Westbrook and draft picks. So far, however, no agreement has been reached because the Lakers probably only want to trade one of their two available first-round picks to Indiana.

Trade rumors are nothing new for Turner anyway. The center has been seen in possible trades for years, but the 26-year-old is still part of the Pacers. Turner still has a contract in Indiana until the summer, this season the big man will collect $ 18 million.

However, he can also imagine staying in Indianapolis. “I grew up here. I’ve been playing here since I was 19. I’m connected to this region. However, it’s also a business and you have to be able to hide the emotional aspects of it.

Turner has only played twice this season after stepping on a ball boy’s foot during a warm-up at the start of the season and injuring his ankle. In the two games he played in, the center averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4.5 blocks.
