Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson can now prepare to play football games as he is eligible to participate in his team’s practices as the end of his suspension nears.

Acquired from the Houston Texans during the offseason, the center served nine of 11 games of his NFL sanction before the start of the regular season. Watson will therefore have the opportunity to work with his new teammates on Wednesday, when they return to work in anticipation of their duel against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, the principal concerned will have to wait until December 4 before playing a first meeting with the Browns; they will also visit the Texans on this occasion.

Watson was punished for numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against massage therapists; no criminal charges have been filed against him, but several civil cases have been settled out of court. The league eventually penalized him under its off-field behavior policy.

The star player hasn’t played in an NFL matchup since 2020, as he waited the following year to be traded to another organization.
