The municipality and the AS Salbris judo club proceeded last Saturday to the baptism of the judo hall under the name of “Jean-Paul dojo”, at the Antoine-Vincent gymnasium. His name was chosen in thanks to the creator of the local. It was in 1965.
Judo teacher for 40 years
This black belt judoka 2 e dan received the city’s gold medal in 1982, then the youth and sport gold medal in 2011. He also taught for 40 years at the judo club, including 20 years as president. Jean Paul, aged 83, continues to practice this sport and was very touched by this honor given to him.
Currently, the judo club is chaired by Matthieu Grenon and trained by Denis Tiffet.
