“In the West, OKC, no one expected this franchise to be at such a level! (1st, 57 wins, 25 losses) On the other hand, that Denver (2nd in the Western Conference, Editor’s note) is back at the top level, we could have anticipated it more. OKC was ultimately the big surprise. Depending on this year’s results, the OKC coach must receive a maximum of votes. He was rightfully named coach of the year and that’s Mark Daigneault. He really made this team progress with a very interesting style of play. We all enjoy watching them play. It’s a great success.”

Dallas silenced the skeptics
“Dallas has silenced a lot of skeptics. When Kyrie Irving arrived at the Mavericks, many doubted the future performance of this team. But since they made the trade for Gafford, they have a more substantial racket with their rookie Dereck Lively and PJ Washington. Finally, Dallas today has a much more complete team. “It’s one of the best teams in this second half of the season.”
The Knicks behind the terrifying Celtics
“In the East, Boston dominated outrageously. Observers imagined the Bucks even stronger with Lillard and Giannis. That wasn’t really the case. And this even if Milwaukee finished in the top 4 of its Conference (3rd, but exited in the 1st round 4-2 by Indiana, Editor’s note). In this same Conference, the Knicks (2nd with 50 wins for 32 losses, Editor’s note) embody the biggest sensation. Jalen Brunson hasn’t been mentioned enough in the race for the MVP title. Ultimately, in these play-offs, it will be Boston against the world. The Celtics are expected to go to the Finals. But the last step to take for Tatum and his teammates will be to win a title (their last one dates back to 2008, Editor’s note).”

“The Rockets surprised me with their level of performance. They have reached a balanced ratio (41 victories for 41 defeats, Editor’s note). The coaching in particular was very good. They are making full progress.”
Brunson, the most notable player
« Like his team, the player who struck me the most was Jalen Brunson of the Knicks. He hasn’t been given enough credit for this team’s success. He’s a fantastic player, offensively and in mindset. He’s a true New Yorker. He embodies the face of this team. He contributed a lot to the good results of this franchise.”
Lakers-Boston, quel match !
“There was one match that really stood out to me. The Lakers against Boston. LeBron James and Anthony Davis did not play. It was in Boston. The Lakers won (114 to 105, Editor’s note) after a fantastic match without their two stars. This demonstrates that the NBA is full of very good players. And that one evening everyone is capable of achieving a feat.”
HIS DISAPPOINTMENTS
The Lakers disappoint again
“Obviously, the Lakers remain a huge disappointment. With this roster, this team was expected to finish at the bottom of the rankings for play-in (8th in the Western Conference with 47 wins for 35 losses, Editor’s note). Last season, it happened in exactly the same way (7th in the Conference, Editor’s note).
However, they had a larger squad than last year. But they also had to deplore key injuries like that of Jarred Vanderbilt. Yet he is the best defender they could put on the field. Defense, one of the big shortcomings of the Lakers (exited in the 1st round 4-1 by Denver, Editor’s note).”
The end of a cycle for the Warriors
“The Lakers are one of the biggest disappointments of the season along with the Warriors. For Golden State (10th in the West, Editor’s note), this feels like the end of a cycle. Already last season, there was a lot of coughing. They should take a step back and make the right decisions. They must rebuild and stop living on the triumphant team (of 2022, Editor’s note). The Klay Thompson is no longer the one he was three or four years ago. Draymond Green is like a virus that must be eradicated (sic). Steph Curry remains the face of the franchise. We will have to rebuild around it. It may take a few years, but they have the means and the know-how.”
Disillusionment Sacramento
“This franchise was another big disappointment (9th against 3rd last season, Editor’s note). We expected much better, particularly from De’Aaron Fox with his leadership, his ability to take his team to the top. This year, that hasn’t been the case at all.”
The enigmatic Tyrese Haliburton
“He is capable of doing phenomenal things. I especially want to remember his superb first part of the season with Indiana. We saw him a lot. Afterwards it was much calmer. He was able to show certain limits. We put it together very quickly. He still remains among the 20 best NBA players today. However, he really needs to move on.”
