Hotel under construction, relocated to an alcohol-free establishment: FIFA executives are in trouble in Qatar

It’s a bit disillusioning for FIFA. The World Cup in Qatar begins on Sunday and for the past few days, there has been a succession of hiccups there. After the fake supporters and container hotels, we now learn that FIFA executives were treated to a very unpleasant surprise upon their arrival in the Gulf.

According to the New York Times, the latter could not settle in the hotel originally planned, considered one of the most luxurious of the World Cup. The latter is actually still under construction and will not be ready for several days. The concern is that FIFA planned many ceremonies and receptions there, in which alcohol was to be served.
