Alcalá will hold the Andalusian Table Tennis Championship

The Councilor for Sports and Youth, Paloma Moyano, presented this morning the LXVIII Andalusian Table Tennis Championship, together with Esteban Rodríguez, president of the Andalusian Table Tennis Federation, and Miguel Gálvez, president of the Alcalá Table Tennis Club. The appointment will take place from December 26 to 30 at the municipal sports center and will be held in a very wide schedule, between 09:00 and 21:00.

The mayor maintains that “it is an important opportunity for our municipality, so that all those people who have not had the opportunity to see our sports facilities and get to know our municipality can do so. We hope to have around 2,000 people around this event, including players, technical staff, organization and the public. Once again we are committed to holding events that not only contribute at a sporting level, but also promote the economy and promotion of our municipality.

Moyano, who has advanced that the championship will consist of eleven categories, both in the female and male modality, has thanked both the Andalusian federation and the local club “for their collaboration, maximum involvement and love for this sport. It is a pride to be able to have an event of these characteristics in our municipality”.

Rodríguez, for his part, stressed that “from the federation we are very happy to be able to celebrate the 68th edition of this championship here, because I am from the province of Jaén, from Linares, which makes me proud that the event is celebrate in my land and I hope and wish that we will be again as it has happened in recent years, the province that has won the most titles in the Andalusian championship”.

From the Alcalá Table Tennis Club, its president stresses that “we have been competing for four years and our main objective is to make this sport visible throughout the region, which is why we have thought it appropriate to bring the Andalusian championship to the town, thanks to the collaboration of the Federation and Department of Sports”.
