Golf: Tiger Woods will play again with his son Charlie

ORLANDO, Fla. – Tiger Woods and his 13-year-old son Charlie will be back at the PNC Championship, this time hoping to take an extra shot off their score.

The 20-team field is reserved for winners of Grand Slam tournaments or the Players’ Championship, who must be accompanied by their child or a loved one. A year ago, Charlie and Woods finished within a stroke of John Daly and his son.

The 36-hole tournament, which will be televised by the channel NBCwill be held December 17 and 18 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando.

Woods hasn’t played professionally since missing out on qualifying for the weekend rounds at the British Open in St. Andrews in July. He will play next week at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, a 72-hole tournament bringing together some twenty of the best golfers in the world.

He must also participate in a televised competition on December 10 with Rory McIlroy. Woods and the Northern Irishman will face Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

That will make him seven rounds of golf in 18 days.
