HC Linz surprised at the start of the quarter-finals of the domestic handball league in Schwaz. The eighth in the basic round prevailed over the second with 34:30 (15:12) and thus made it 1-0 in the “best of three” series.
With a home win on Tuesday (20.20), Linz, who suffered eight defeats in nine games in the spring, could secure the coup. Schwaz had already sensationally lost the cup final against second division team West Vienna.
