Mondorf. The association group qualification of the gymnasts took place in Quadrath-Ichendorf, in which the two best teams of each year from the gymnastics associations Aachen, Düren, Cologne and Rhein-Sieg, Bonn competed for entry into the team finals of the Rhenish Gymnastics Federation (RTB). As already reported, the all-age team of TuS Mondorf with the gymnasts Charlize Bethge, Kaja Vieg, Sena Su Cetin and Sofia Makris qualified for this competition with their second place at the gymnastics association championships Rhein-Sieg, Bonn. Unfortunately, the girls from Mondorf did not start this competition on the uneven bars with optimal exercises. But on the balance beam as the second device, the gymnasts were again highly concentrated and showed what they can do. Kaja and Sena Su both presented almost flawless exercises, which were rewarded with daily highs. So motivated, the floor exercises also worked – here Charlize was rewarded for her great exercise with the highest floor rating of the competition. However, the Mondorf gymnasts were not so satisfied with their final results on the vault, so that the tension before the award ceremony was of course correspondingly high. The joy was all the greater when the TuS Mondorf team was able to receive the bronze medals for 3rd place for their solid performance.
