In the first encounter of the doubleheader against the Guggenberg Legionnaires, the home team from Hünstetten lost their victory in the last inning. The guests turned a 3:6 deficit into a 10:6 victory.

The second game is almost a mirror image of the first game. STORM started the game well, taking the lead in the first inning with a two-run home run from Víctor Ramón Velázquez Guillén. But the Legionnaires were able to tie the game in the following inning. Matt Vance first sent Daniel Patrice home for the first point with a single and shortly afterwards – on a ground out by Lou Helmig – scored the second run himself.

In the 5th inning, STORM took the lead again after an RBI triple from Vicente Emilio Velazquez to make the score 3-2.

The Legionnaires opened the 6th inning with a home run single from Terell Joyce, followed by an RBI single from Eric Harms. Then the working day was over for Hünstetten’s starting pitcher Remington. Rizzo briefly took over on the mound and collected three hits, a walk and three runs. With bases loaded and one out, Yannik Kiss moved from right field to the pitchers mound and was able to end the inning after four more runs, but conceded another four points in the 7th inning to make the final score 4:15.
