Another ultras boycott? We will not back down, Sparta tells the boilermakers

First, they protested against the debacle in the derby at Slavia, that’s why during the entire match, the fans from the Sparta boiler kept silent there. They dressed in black, flags, scarves and other club symbols were prohibited.

During the home match against Slovácko on Wednesday, the ultras again protested against punishments from the club.

“Last week, several people received bans from the club for 5 years and high fines in the order of tens of thousands. This is a very active part of our boiler. The justification for the high penalties is climbing over the fence from the boiler room to the main stand and covering up. Our reaction in the first half and the subsequent departure showed a clear attitude towards these rates,” says the Instagram profile called Letenští.

“As of this moment, we are announcing the end of any fan activities in Sparta’s home sector. We will operate as normal at away games! This state will last until the above-mentioned events are resolved, which means the mitigation or cancellation of the punishments,” the ultras announced another boycott.

Sparta points out that in recent years, it has imposed dozens of bans on entry to home matches, as well as dozens of fines based on violations of the stadium’s visitor rules. “We take these measures in cases where the fan’s behavior threatens the safety of the stadium, commits violence or racism, or his behavior may disrupt the orderly course of the match. This procedure is applied to fans in all sectors without exception, i.e. also towards visiting fans clubs,” the club emphasizes in its statement.

The ground rules are clearly stated. “Therefore, in the case of toxic behavior, fines or bans from entering Sparta’s home matches have occurred, are occurring and will continue to occur. This view of unacceptable behavior at the stadium is unchanging. It was like that yesterday, it is today, it will be tomorrow. Just like a year ago, in a year,” assures Sparta.

“The protest of some fans, which was completely unacceptable in its form, seems to have isolated this group more than anything else. None of the goals and demands of this protest will be heard by the club,” he adds on the club’s website.
