América de Cali plans to sue Pedro Álzate de Pasto for controversial statements | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

In the afternoon hours of this Friday, América de Cali, through a press release, reported that they are considering taking legal action against the technical assistant of Deportivo Pasto, Mr. Pedro Alzate, who in the last few hours stated that “when will Roldán, America wins, it is a help”, among others. Therefore the scarlet box announced the following:

“From América de Cali we categorically reject the serious implications that derive from the accusations made by Mr. Pedro Alzate, technical assistant of Deportivo Pasto. Having said this, we allow ourselves to inform public opinion that América de Cali is considering filing a criminal complaint against Mr. Alzate so that his statements can be investigated and, if sufficient merit is found, the corresponding sentences are imposed, given that the trial honor and in line with the legal procedure and sports competition of the Company”.

They support the work of the Arbitration Commission, the arbitrator from Antioquia and ask that Alzate present the evidence: “America will not tolerate that Mr. Alzate calls into question the integrity and honor of our institution, of the people who are part of it, and of the other people who are seeing their honor affected by these unfortunate statements. For this reason, we extend our support to the impartiality of the National Arbitration Commission and Mr. Wilmar Roldán, for whom we profess the respect they deserve.”

“In this sense, we urge Mr. Alzate to present the evidence of his statements and go before the competent bodies, so that the behaviors of which América de Cali and referee Wilmar Roldán are accused are thoroughly investigated. Otherwise, we invite you to, immediately and before the media, depose his statements and, therefore, retract your statements that affect the good name of the Company”.

If said action is not presented, they will denounce the fact: “In the event that none of the situations arise, we will file the respective complaints against Mr. Alzate, before the disciplinary authorities of Colombian professional football and/or the Attorney General’s Office of the Nation, in order to investigate and sanction the multiple disciplinary and/or criminal offenses that Mr. Alzate may have incurred,” the statement concluded.

This Sunday, América de Cali receives Deportivo Pasto at the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, for date 3 of home run B, at 7:00 at night.
