Threatened to lose his place as world No. 1, Scottie Scheffler radically changes his form of putter

The winner of the Masters Scottie Scheffler has decided to adopt a style of putter radically different from the one which allowed him to reach the place of world No. 1 in recent months!

The 26-year-old was spotted with a Scotty Cameron T-5.5 Proto mallet putter in South Carolina, by hardware experts at Golf WRX.

An important change from his very classic putter also shaped by Scotty Cameron.

It is with this putter, Scotty Cameron Special Select Timeless Tourtype GSS prototype (photo principale)that Scheffler has won all of his victories including the Augusta Masters in April.

Rory back on the throne?

The change comes as his place at the top of the world rankings is threatened by Rory McIlroy during the CJ CUP at Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina, which was attended by 15 of the world’s top 20 players.

Scheffler will lose his place as number 1 in the event of a victory for the Northern Irish and if he finishes beyond second place.

Another scenario that could lead to a return to the throne of McIlroy. Rory finished second on his own and Scheffler finished the tournament beyond 34th place.
