Robert Lewandowski: Crazy! The watch from the Barcelona star at the Ballon d’Or was so expensive | Sports

Pretty down to earth!

Robert Lewandowski (34) shone with a Casio watch at the Ballon d’Or gala in Paris. Value: 60 euros. Yes, you read it right.

Barcelona super-forward Lewandowski has been awarded the Gerd Müller Prize for the best forward in the world for the 2021/22 season at the Ballon d’Or. The trophy he dusted off matched the color of his gold watch.

The fact that this costs “only” 60 euros is rather atypical for a superstar like him (earning ten million euros net in the current season) – but likeable!

For comparison: Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema (34) wore a Richard Mille worth 500,000 euros.

Was the Pole possibly afraid of being mugged after being the victim of a watch worth 70,000 euros (brand: Patek Philippe) stolen in Barcelona?

In August, Lewandowski had his expensive bracelet ripped off his wrist by three criminals in front of the Barça premises. The superstar was signing autographs and was obviously distracted. The thieves fled, Lewandowski pursued them in the car but could not catch them. The police later caught one of the perpetrators. The Polish international had informed the authorities himself.

The ex-Munich native seems to have learned from this. And maybe he also knows: digital is better…
