Why have The Simpsons made this random wink? Why does Lisa Simpson kill characters from such a specific classic game with her Death Note? The truth is that it is a homage to the English version of the anime. The translation team decided to take made up names absurdly to prevent real identities from being involved in the Death Note story.

As a result of that, the public began to joke saying that lThe names seemed taken from Fighting Baseball. To close the circle of the joke, the Fox team has decided to take it literally and take these fake elite athletes that are in the game (and that had to be placed because they did not have official licenses) to be Lisa’s victims.

A great wink, of course, for a special of The Simpsons House of Terror who has caught everyone by surprise by showing so much love for Death Note. And you, have you seen it?
