The Mexican Baseball Festival kicks off on Thursday in Tucson

Prepare your taste buds, sharpen your throat and let the party begin!

This Thursday, October 6, is the first of four days of the eleventh Vamós a Tucson Mexican Baseball Festival at the Kino Veterans Memorial stadium, an event that has become the favorite of many people in our city due to the great atmosphere that is lived and which includes delicious local food and live music, in addition to baseball games.

On this occasion, four teams from the Mexican Pacific ARCO League are coming: Naranjeros from Hermosillo, Yaquis from Ciudad Obregón, Mayos from Navojoa and Águilas from Mexicali and at La Estrella de Tucsón we will give away tickets. Here we tell you how to participate.

From Thursday to Saturday there are two games a day in Tucson, while on Sunday there is only one game to make room for the concert-dance with the Sonoran musical group Su Majestad La Brissa.

The Mexican Fiesta is also going to Douglas, Az. on Wednesday, October 5, with a game between Mayos de Navojoa and Yaquis de Obregón at Copper King Stadium at 7 pm

This is the schedule of games in Tucson:

Obregon vs. Navojoa, 5:05 p.m.

Hermosillo vs Arizona Wildcats, after the first game.

Obregon vs. Mexicali, 5:05 p.m

Hermosillo vs Navojoa, after the first game.

Saturday October 8: Mexicali vs. Navojoa, 5:05 p.m

Hermosillo vs. Obregón, after the first match.

Hermosillo vs. Navojoa, 5 p.m.

La Brissa is introduced after the first and only game of the day.

Tickets are on sale online at mexicanbaseballfiesta.com/games/tucson at a cost of $15 in general admission and $20 in numbered seats. The Kino Stadium box office will be open the week of the party.

Remember that Kino Stadium, at 2500 E Ajo Way, has a clear bag/purse security policy.
