Threats to the referee for a goal in suspected offside, the match between the Sport Village of Qualiano and the Bourbon Felix of Naples, Toscanella area. The match between the two selections, valid for the 2nd day of the second category regional football championship of Campania, was played yesterday afternoon, Saturday 8 October 2022, at 15.30, in the “Santo Stefano” stadium in Qualiano, packed with the public for the occasion. Everything seemed to go smoothly, for a day of sport and competitive fun among the boys, until the first goal was scored by the home team, around the first half hour of play.
But the goal was accompanied by protests from the visiting team who complained of a suspected offside. The referee validates, but this is not enough to appease the public who are protesting vigorously from the stands, whistling and asking for the goal to be canceled. The climate becomes very heavy. The manager and the goalkeeper of the away team Bourbon Felix they are not there and lash out at the referee. Insults, threats fly. And again the support of the boos from the stands. Tempers heat up. The carabinieri arrive from the local Qualiano station, a municipality in the north of Naples. Referees of the dispute, not to assign the goal or not, but to identify the most rebellious and the manager and the goalkeeper. Both will be reported in a state of freedom for threats. The game resumes, the lost time will be made up: it will end 3 to 2 for the hosts. All that remains is to wait until January 29, 2023 when they will take the field for the next “clash” between the two Neapolitan teams.
