They’re at the German Klassiko. Bayern versus Dortmund. 81 000 spectators. Many millions worldwide. And there we see Anthony Modeste, he hit the air freely in front of the goal, Neuer was already sitting on the ground.
Everyone was sure that Modeste isn’t one for Dortmund, the whole weeks before there was malice about him.
But then we suddenly experience a different Modeste. This 34-year-old aging gamer who doesn’t want to be junk. When he came on, he played without fear.
He didn’t care if he was loved or not loved. He didn’t care if he was ridiculous.
He played without fear. His header goal was awesome.
What a beautiful metaphor for our lives. We can turn frogs into princes.
