The Councilor for Sports, Eliseo Martín, and the sports director of the Monzón Tennis Club, Michel Irigaray, have presented the celebration of the Aragon Benjamin Championshipwhich will be played on the Conchita Martínez slopes, on weekends from October 28 to November 27.
The appointment will coincide with the IX Open “Ciudad de Monzón” in categories of alevín, infantile and cadet.
Eliseo Martin has highlighted that “tennis is very important in our city and with this event we want to highlight the work that the Club has been developing and give it visibility, remembering that the last championship of these characteristics was held seven years ago”. In addition, he thanked Airon Club for giving full availability of the facilities for the championship.
Michel Irigaray has thanked “the facilities of the City Council for its celebration, since it is not usual for municipal facilities to be transferred to a private club to hold championships”.
Aragon Benjamín Tennis Championship
With respect to the Championship, he has indicated that “the preliminary phase takes place from October 28 to November 12 and the final phase from November 13 to 27 in men’s and women’s singles, doubles and consolation”.
The IX Open takes place in the categories of juveniles, children and Cadet in individual men’s and women’s and players from Aragon and Lleida usually participate.
Monzon Tennis Club
These two competitions, organized from the Monzon Tennis Clubwill bring together some 150 participants plus companions who will be in the capital of Medio Cinque for four weekends.
