At his post-match press conference, Klopp shared his thoughts on his team not being at their best.

“I’m not sure if this is the right word, but we can’t ignore the fact. For sure, the Ajax win didn’t give us any rhythm because after that we lost momentum with a late goal,” Klopp said, quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“We could have taken a lot into the next game, but unfortunately we didn’t play. Since then, the feeling has almost gone.”

The German manager admits his club are currently in difficult times.

Therefore Klopp asked his team to be ready to fight hard, step by step to gain confidence and momentum again.

“We had a moment of confidence today. Bobby scored the second goal, you can see it. That,” he said.

“But the passing game was not good today, we passed the ball everywhere,” he added.
