Haaland advisor: “Erling will be the first billion transfer” – FOOTBALL

Will HE break a seemingly unattainable sound barrier in the future?

Erling Haaland (22) switched from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City in the summer for a fee of 60 million euros and made a dream start on the island. The Norwegian has already scored 20 (!) goals in 14 competitive games for the English champions.

And: With a market value of 150 million euros, Haaland is the second most valuable player in the world – only PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé (23/160 million) is even more valuable.

But it shouldn’t have been that far: Haaland’s advisor Rafaela Pimenta is convinced that the striker will be the first footballer to change for a fee of one billion pounds (about 1.144 billion euros).

The Brazilian said in an interview with transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio (48) for “Sky Sport 24”: “I think Erling will be the first player to cost around a billion in a transfer. That’s my guess because if you add up your footballing value, personality value and advertising value, you’re bound to end up at a billion.”

Should such a mega deal come about, Haaland would pulverize the transfer record. This is currently held by PSG star Neymar (30), for whom the Sheikh club transferred a transfer fee of 222 million euros to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

Haaland’s contract with ManCity runs until 2027. And Pimenta would even like an early contract extension. The former right hand of star consultant Mino Raiola († 54) said: “I hope so. If you are (Manchester City, Anm. d. Red.) want to talk to us today, we are happy. Why not? That’s always good.”

The agent was also asked in the interview about an exit clause that would allow Haaland to leave Man City in 2024.

Pimenta just saying: “The good thing about being a lawyer is that if I’m pushed into something I can reply that as a lawyer I can’t talk about it.”

At the end of April, Mino Raiola died after a serious illness. In the weeks before his death, Pimenta increasingly took over the consulting activities for the star agent. And then became the heiress to the Raiola empire – and Erling Haaland’s advisor.
