First place for Latvian men’s floorball team in Germany

The Latvian men’s floorball team, preparing for the world championship in November, won the Six Nations Cup held in the German city of Weissenfels that week.

Four victories were won in five matches – 4:1 against Slovakia, 8:3 against Denmark, 5:3 against Poland and 2:0 against Norway. The only loss was against the hosts Germans with 2:5. In the end, Latvia and Slovakia had eight points each, but ours won the first place because they won the match. Six points for Norway and Germany, two for Poland, but the Danes remained empty. Morics Krūmiņš became the most productive player of the tournament with eight (5+3) points. The World Championship will be held in Switzerland from November 5 to 13. On the other hand, the Latvian women’s national team beat Estonia 7:2 and 5:0 in two test matches in Kocēni.
