Goalkeeper Alexander Nübel made a mishap in the defeat of his AS Monaco in the group game of the Europa League at Trabzonspor in Turkey.
The loan from FC Bayern Munich wanted to pass the ball on to a teammate after a back pass. But Nübel’s teammate Malang Sarr accidentally ran into the pass and the ball bounced off the defender’s leg into the Monegasque goal.
It was the beginning of a scoring: In the end, the Turkish team won 4-0 (1-0). In Group H, Monaco are now third with six points behind Trabzonspor (6 points). The leader of the table is Ferencvaros Budapest (9).
