To compensate for the absence of Donte Grantham, SLUC Nancy has decided to hire former Philadelphia player Mike Scott as a medical substitute until mid-December.
Following Donte Grantham’s injury, SLUC Nancy has just found a replacement. Mike Scott (2.03m, 34 years old) signed up until mid-December with the Nancy club.
After ten seasons in the NBA and 550 matches on the clock, the American interior will live its first European experience. Recognized for his scoring skills and his experience, the former NBAer, trained at the University of Virginia between 2007 and 2012, then played for the Atlanta Hawks until 2017 then with the Washington Wizards (2017-2018), the Clippers (2018-2019) and finally the 76ers (2019-2021). Mike Scott has not played in the NBA since the 2021 play-offs with Philadelphia.
“We needed a boy with experience, able to adapt quickly to a new team. He is a physical and athletic person, He has a real job profile 4 in France. We didn’t need a skinny player, but a hard player, because it’s important to lock our racquet, a little better than what we’ve done so far,” said Sylvain Lautié on the club’s official website.
During his last year in the big league, he had 4.2 points and 2.4 rebounds for 16 minutes in 51 games.
