Celebrating Excellence in Sports: The 25th Fideltà allo Sport Award Winners

At the 25th Fideltà allo Sport Award in program all’Hotel Country Club of Gragnano on Monday 3 June they will also receive the golden Sphinx minted by the Lucca artist Giampaolo Bianchi Marco Landucci and Pierluigi Castellani.

With these two names the number of winners rises to 12 and the cast, as announced by the organizer Valter Nieri and the honorary president Stefano Gori, is now definitive. Marco Landucci he was strongly supported in particular by the fans of Fiorentina, Juventus, Milan, Inter and Lucchese. This year he celebrates 50 years with football, since he began as a goalkeeper in Sant’Alessio at a very young age, taking off towards big clubs such as Fiorentina and Inter, becoming one of the best Italian goalkeepers, as well as having worn the shirt for years of Lucca.

So his friendship with Max Allegri led him to be his second coach in big clubs like Milan and Juventus, his last club for which he worked. With Milan as goalkeeping coach he won a scudetto and an Italian Super Cup but his work as deputy Allegri at Juventus was even more satisfying, winning five consecutive scudetti from 2014 to 2019 and then returning to the black and white from 2021 to 2024. The last The trophy won as a coach, again in black and white, was the Italian Cup on 15 May.

The golden sphinx also goes to Pierluigi Castellani, in his fourth year first cycling manager in the province of Lucca with the ranks of FCI provincial president. This role follows that of president of the Cycling Team, a historic amateur cycling club from Lucca. In recent years Castellani has managed to increase the number of affiliated teams and has excelled in instilling new ideas to encourage children to practice cycling.

At the evening presented by Valter Nieri and Ilaria Gradi, for the first time together to lead a demonstration, 12 golden sphinxes will then be handed over. Here is the complete list of award winners

With Giulia Quintavalle The number of Olympic gold medals awarded at the Loyalty to Sport Award rises to 38while with Roberto Amadio (world champion in the team pursuit in ’85 at the world championships in Bassano del Grappa), they rise to 15 cycling world champions in the honor roll of the Award. Among the guests were the journalist Alberto Cerruti, the Inter observer Leonardo Simoni and Count Guido Anzilotti, owner of the Villa del Castellaccio where Giacomo Puccini, for whom this year marks the centenary of his death, composed much of Lin Bohemiaone of his most famous operas.

The collateral prizes are those dedicated to the memory of Aldo Biagini, Gigi Simoni (he participated in the Prize several times in the past) and Alfio Castiglioni.
