Darts: Mensur Suljovic causes a sensation with a win against Price – Sport-Mix

Austria’s darts figurehead Mensur Suljovic caused a stir on his comeback on the European Tour by beating ex-world champion Gerwyn Price.

The 50-year-old Viennese defeated the second in the world rankings from Wales 6-4 in the second round of the Gibraltar Darts Trophy on Saturday evening. At the start “The Gentle” managed a sovereign 6:0 against the Englishman Keegan Brown.

In the round of 16, Suljovic, ranked 31st in the world, meets the German Gabriel Clemens. Most recently, Suljovic was in action at the Austrian Open in April.

However, the other Austrians have to admit defeat in the second round. Rusty-Jake Rodriguez lost 6-3 against former English world champion Rob Cross, Rowby-John Rodriguez also lost 6-3 against Portuguese world number six Jose de Sousa.
