Tax raid on Frankfurt boss Krösche

In the past, the tax investigators have always turned left to the DFB in Frankfurt’s Otto-Fleck corridor. This time, the officials drove in numerous cars to the opposite office of Eintracht Frankfurt – and searched the office of Eintracht’s sports director Markus Krösche (42) a week ago for BILD information.

On that day, Eintracht played in the second round of the cup at Stuttgarter Kickers (2-0). Shortly before, however, there was an alarm in Frankfurt. During the raid, Krösche’s office at Eintracht, his house in Paderborn and two companies were searched.

The investigating authority is the public prosecutor’s office in Münster, since, according to BILD information, it is about events at the car leasing company “MaKro GmbH & Co. KG” in the period between 2016 and 2020. Krösche was still managing director of his own company.

Chief public prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt confirms BILD: “On October 18, 2022, criminal procedural measures took place at various locations in an investigation by the Münster public prosecutor’s office, which is directed against several suspects. No arrests have been made. The investigations are still at the very beginning.”

As BILD learned, the charge against Krösche and other suspects is a so-called reduction in sales tax in the mid-six-digit range.

Krösche, who, according to BILD information, has had no problems with all of the special tax audits in recent years, is cooperating with the authorities. When asked by BILD, he did not want to comment.

Krösche is said not to have enriched himself personally. According to BILD information, he is not threatened with internal consequences for the time being.
