ATP > Schwartzman: “This year, I had a lot of anxiety attacks”

Diego Schwartzman, who remains on four consecutive defeats (including the Laver Cup), spoke in an interview with Urbana Play. The Argentinian explains that he made the decision to consult a psychologist.

“This year, I had quite a few anxiety attacks. Tennis is a bit like that. The best thing to do is to aim for the short term and set goals tournament after tournament. If I had been told at 17 that I was going to do what I did, I would have signed, but when you get into the maelstrom, it’s a difficult rhythm to keep (…) I started therapy for everything that happens to me. Not only in the field, but in life, because of fears, anxieties… For the first time, I started this process because I felt that I needed outside help to have other tools of resolution”said on 18e world, 30 years old.
