The call of the forest worked well in Auberive

After a successful first edition in 2021, the forest market organized by the Auberive festival committee confirmed its good momentum this Sunday, September 25 at the game enclosure with significant attendance throughout the day.

This event, which was held in a magnificent setting in the heart of the forest of the National Park, showed all the attractions that the forest environment has for the public who came in large numbers and for many with their families. For the occasion, several dozen exhibitors were present and conviviality was essential between all those present this Sunday during which the game enclosure became a festive space.

President of the Auberive festival committee, Benjamin Thiery was, like all the volunteers of the organization, in the starting blocks from the start of the morning this Sunday. It is with a certain satisfaction that the members of the festival committee saw from the first moments the walkers being there and strolling between the stands but also in the alleys of the game enclosure, the discovery of which made the joy families. The latter, and in particular the children, also stormed the site’s playground throughout the day.

In addition to taking place in the heart of nature, the forest market also gave pride of place to outdoor activities with a possible introduction to archery for children, but also for families the opportunity to browse the Auberive site with electrically assisted rosalies. In another register, young and old also greatly appreciated the musical entertainment (see below) and the demonstrations of medieval combat by the Bellatores association. Many were also trying to determine the weight of the packed basket involved.

Among the many visitors of the day, in addition to elected officials from the south of Haute-Marne, the organizers had the pleasure of welcoming Anne Cornet, the prefect of Haute-Marne, who had come to form her own opinion on the event.

A moment of jazz in the middle of nature

Around 3:30 p.m., the Dijon group “The Golden Coasters” gave a concert of eclectic dance music from New Orleans. Music lovers did not shy away from this moment. The sumptuous setting offered the six members of the group the opportunity to show all their talent. They are young and full of enthusiasm, and give all their energy and happiness to share their passion for music.

Armelle Verguet on saxophone, Karlos Marco Raya on violin, Christophe Bairras on guitar, Lucas Le Texier on double bass/Kazzo, Jérôme Billaud on guitar and Antonin Néel on washboard are influenced by the music of Sidney Bechet, Kid Ory and Clarence Williams. Visitors to this forest market were able to listen to songs ranging from hot jazz, old blues, ragtime and American folk at their leisure. Various songs were played such as “Wolverine blues”, “Heetbie jeebies”, “Ole miss rag” or even “Georgia swing”, “Bill Bailey”, “Sittin”.

Rhythm and more rhythm, a beautiful harmony and a magnificent complicity between the six musicians. Such is the power of music: it unites and unites, creates links, emotions, it is a universal language that speaks to everyone.
