GROSSETO – The charity friendly between Bbc Grosseto and Bsc Grosseto 1952 ended 4-4, with a triple from Ericson Leonora in the seventh inning. The real result of “Grosseto city of baseball – Beat and run for culture” was the participation of the public who responded to the call and helped to realize a project that will benefit the entire community: finance the construction and ” opening to the public of a new room in the art library of the Le Clarisse cultural center.
The match, in fact, made it possible to raise 1,535 euros. At the end of the game, the symbolic delivery of the check took place in the presence of the two teams (for Bbc Grosseto the vice president Sandro Chimenti and the general manager Filippo Olivelli, for Bsc Grosseto 1952 the president Massimo Ceciarini and the vice president Roberto Piccioli), of the top management of the Grosseto Cultura Foundation (the president Giovanni Tombari, who threw the first ball, the administrative director Riccardo Lucetti, the director of the cultural center Le Clarisse, Mauro Papa) and, for TagMaremma, Guido Delmirani, president of Rama Spa. The event was also attended by the mayor of Grosseto, Antonfrancesco Vivarelli Colonna, the deputy mayor Fabrizio Rossi and the councilor Riccardo Ginanneschi.
As for the match, Carbo and Sireus were the starting pitchers, before the swirl of substitutions. The BSC jumped ahead, was overtaken by the boys of Jairo Ramos, who arrived at 4-1, before Leonora’s final draw.

One of the most beautiful aspects was certainly seeing so many children having fun and running around the stands trying to win the balls off the field. I truly believe that this event, if transformed into an annual event, could give new generations a love for both sport and culture ”.
For the library of the Le Clarisse cultural center it is planned to set up a new consultation-conservation room of 56 square meters on the first floor, making it accessible also to the disabled, with an independent entrance on Piazza San Francesco. In addition, 7 bookcases, a table and 6 chairs will be purchased and a wi-fi network will be set up, in addition to the work of census and inventory of the books contained in the collections not yet cataloged.
