Oriol Romeu was one of the main protagonists this afternoon at the inauguration of the Cruyff Court of Lloret de Mar. The Girona midfielder, trained at La Masia, is the Godfather of this free-to-use football field to promote the values of sport among boys and girls.
“I am very excited. My beginnings were in a small town (Ulldecona) with different conditions and we had to earn a living with shoes or bottles to make the goalposts. Here is a pass. The priority is to enjoy with passion. If you make the most of it and take advantage of the time invested, the result doesn’t matter”, said Romeu. The player took penalties with the children at the end of the event and even had one saved.
