Remco Evenepoel and Mathieu van der Poel have been back on Belgian soil since yesterday afternoon. The duo played a leading role at the World Cup in Wollongong, albeit with a very diverse interpretation. The day after the exhausting journey from Australia, they got back on their bikes.
After yesterday’s festive reception, Remco Evenepoel got back on his bike today for a trip of more than 2 hours in his home base.
Mathieu van der Poel also let his legs rotate, although he opted for his mountain bike. “To clear my head,” he wrote on Strava after his eventful weekend down-under.
