Transfermarkt market value expert Frederic Hillmann explains: “Sadio Mané has not yet been able to put his horsepower on the road, but his previous performances played no role in this assessment. His age was also not important for the first rating as a Bundesliga professional, but the transfer modalities. The difference to the amount paid, even if he only had one year left on the contract, was too large in Mané’s case to be able to expect a reproducibility of the fee in the range of his market value.

But Bayern not only have the biggest market value loser – they also have one of the biggest winners!

Transfermarkt expert Hillmann explains: “Sheraldo Becker started the season furiously and his performance was even better than in the last third of the previous season. At the same time, however, the previous CV and the age of the attacker must also be taken into account. At 27, the growth potential here is lower than for players in the talent segment.”
