Latvian sidecar motocross team wins the fifth place in the Nations Cup

The victory was won by the Netherlands with 13 points, the second place was taken by Great Britain with 29 points, while the top three with 32 points were completed by Estonia, whose ranks also included the Latvian singer Stupelis together with the Estonian Gerda Gordejeva.

With 37 points, Latvia ranked fifth in the 15-unit competition.

In the first race, in which the athletes of groups A and B competed, Lielbārdis/Beleckis took sixth place, Gordejevs/Stupelis finished in eighth place, and Rupeika/Liepiņš finished in ninth position. The Belgian crew with Marvin Vanluchen and Robbie Bax was fastest in the first race.

Meanwhile, in the second race, competing in groups B and C, Rupeiks/Liepiņš won the seventh place, Gorbenko/Lebretons took the tenth place. The victory in the second race was won by the Dutch team Kuhns Hermans/Robe de Veen, while Gordeevs/Stupelis finished fifth.

In the final race, when groups A and C started, Lielbārdis/Beleckis took fifth place, while Gorbenko/Lebretons won another tenth place. This time, another Dutch team with Etienne Bax and the Czech Ondřej Cermák remained undefeated.

On Saturday, the Latvian team also finished in fifth place in the qualification competition.

The Nations Cup for ATVs was also held there in the Czech Republic, in which Latvia ranked ninth. The Latvian team consisted of Matīss Palēvics, Reinis Bicāns and Valērijs Kuzmins.
