It’s over, it’s over: The Budokan Hünxe is also successful on the last day of the Special Olympics NRW Games

The last competitions of the Budokan Hünxe Judoka took place in the morning on Saturday and the Budokan Hünxe Festival continued.
All of our unified kata teams were able to win medals. Thorben von Kneten and Lukas Ehresmann won the bronze medal, Julia Wardemann and Elke Klagus were able to wear the silver medal and Jan Himmelbach and Gerd Schäfer won this competition and won the gold medal.
In the judo competitions of competition class I, which also took place today, Steffi Drescher and Andrea Kuhne won the gold medals in their respective weight classes. Timo Karmasch completed his fights as quickly and confidently as usual and dominated in his weight class. Bastian Wind had to settle for second place after three exciting fights. Congratulations on these achievements.
It is remarkable that every judoka from Budokan Hünxe who competed in Bonn brings home a medal. What a success.
Justin Blöhm, Björn Kamps and Julian Ballugt had a photo shoot today for the magazine “Ohrenkuss”, a magazine created by people with Down Syndrome. Our medal winners will be featured in this magazine in the October issue.

Yesterday evening the popular athletes’ disco took place in Bonn’s Tanzhaus. 700 guests danced as much as they could and the mood gave. A successful evening for everyone involved.

Four exhausting, exciting and very successful days came to an end today and we look forward to seeing you again in Münster in 2024.
