Fury in the spotlight again! He challenged Joshua, he wants the Battle of Britain this year

From Tyson Fury’s point of view, it does not look serious at all with the final retirement from boxing. After WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk announced that he wants to take a family break until next February, the burly Briton has started to make more plans to get back inside the sixteen ropes this year.

The more than two-meter-tall hornbill would like to fulfill the fans’ long-standing wish for a fight with Anthony Joshua. Fury has now challenged his compatriot via social media. “I think you’ve all heard that I’m going to be boxing in the next few months. Before I announce the opponent, I have to do it just in case,” Fury began in the video, in which he held his WBC world titles over his shoulder.

“Anthony Joshua, I know you just lost to Usyk and you currently have no match. I would like to give you the opportunity to fight me for the WBC world heavyweight title. You’ve had a 12-round fight, you’re fit and ready. I’m giving you a few months to prepare. If you’re interested, I’ll send you a date and we can work it out,” Fury surprisingly continued.

A potential fight with Joshua would undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest boxing duels. “The Battle of Britain and the WBC World Heavyweight Title. Let me know if you are interested. If not, I will choose another opponent,” the British boxer concluded his challenge.

And it didn’t take long for Joshua to speak up as well, accepting the offer. “Yes, take it easy. But I don’t arrange matches via internet chat, so if you’re serious, arrange it with 258 mgt (Joshua’s management company). I’ll be ready in December,” replied Joshua, who has lost two in a row.

Both parties have agreed to the match, but now the interest of one of the promoters will be necessary. One thing is certain, there will once again be a decent amount of money at stake, which would once again shake up the history of the boxing world. If the match does happen, it will be in December. At the beginning of next year, a unification match for all world titles with Oleksandr Usyk can be expected.
