A statement came from the International Basketball Federation regarding the eventful Turkey-Georgia match in Group A of the FIBA 2022 European Basketball Championship.
In the statement, it was stated that Georgian basketball players Goga Bitadze, Duda Sanadze, Tornike Shengelia and Turkish National Team Furkan Korkmaz were subject to disciplinary proceedings against the national federations for unsportsmanlike behavior.
