Even in ten, you can argue about the result, but Slavia disappointed me in Pilsen, says Švancara

“The red card affected Pilsen’s match against Slavia so much that the winner was actually decided. Slavia disappointed me a lot with that, I expected them to make the match even more dramatic. It’s difficult at ten, that’s without debate, but that’s how the team should be able to fight for the result even in a weakened state,” former striker Petr Švancara says in a league commentary for Aktuálně.cz.

I congratulate Pilsen on the win over Slavia, it was their match and they must be taken very seriously in the fight for the title, no matter what the forecasts were before the season and they pointed more towards Slavia.

The decisive moment came right at the beginning of the match. Slavist stopper Eduardo went into the fight downright stupid. Even if a goal was scored, something could still be done with the match, Slavia is not a team that should be defeated by a goal. It was a big mistake, he shouldn’t have gone into it at all. A lesson for him and other players. A red card and a penalty, which the referee must order, will completely shift the match to one side.

Nevertheless, I was surprised that Slavia could not cope with it at all. Apart from Olayinka’s 100% chance, she could not create anything, which on the other hand shows the strength of Pilsen and its experience. The red card affected the match so much that the winner was actually decided. Slavia disappointed me a lot with that, I expected her to make the match even more dramatic. It is difficult in ten, that is without debate, but such a team should be able to fight for the result even in a weakened state.

The captain of Standa Tecl lamented that the ball was lost for the defense after a long, rather defensive kick at the beginning of the match, this is not the first time for Slavia. But I don’t think it’s a recipe for catching the Slavist defense by surprise. It’s more of a coincidence, I don’t think it’s her weakness and she should have a problem with it every time. Just increase your concentration and be more careful.

Sparta also disappointed

The fans of both camps were very excited for the duel between Sparta and Baník, the high attendance promised a spectacle. Disappointing for me. From both sides. Nothing much, boring football, I didn’t enjoy it. It goes round and round – waiting for someone to pick up, and nothing. I don’t even know what to say about these manchafts anymore, except for a tiresome round of the same criticisms and observations. Nothing impressed me.

I will give one comparison – Zbrojovka Brno recorded nineteen shooting attempts against Teplice. In the end, the match ended in a two-two draw, some spectators were disappointed that there was no win and no three points, but great football. He pleased the fans. Whereas on Letná they could not enjoy anything similar. I can’t even find the best player of the match.

Former league striker, at one time one of the greatest talents in Czech football. In the top competition, he played 309 matches for nine different clubs, including Slavia and Zbrojovka Brno, in which he scored 59 goals.

I expected that after the sentence, Jan Kuchta would be constantly active and dangerous, he would get chances. It seemed to me that he was a bit fed up with the chosen system. At the same time, the harmless Miner, one successful shot, was beautiful, but it was extremely little. I can’t predict which team is capable of showing several good performances in a row. I’m not calling for the result, I’d be happy if there was something to look at.

Danish coach Brian Priske already has a difficult time. I appreciate Spartan fans that they come to the matches in such numbers, and even if they are already very angry, they do not disrupt the course of the match, they fight after the match. But with their pressure, they are able to force the management to dismiss the coach. It does not only concern him, after all, the situation in Sparta cannot be blamed solely on him, the sports director Tomáš Rosický already has a very difficult position.

Moreover, I am a patriot, I do not believe that a foreign coach could bring any special value. That is, except for the Slovaks, who have a similar nature and it is easy to understand what they want. We have many excellent and capable experts, why not give them a chance. They will add our typical smartness to the team.

Fear for Pardubice

Pardubice was taken over by Radoslav Kováč, even under him the team did not succeed. I’m a big fan of him, he’s a former successful footballer, I always wish these guys success on the coaching bench.

The biggest reason for the defeat was that the players did not give chances. Not even unloaded. I know it from Viktorka Žižkov, the fight for survival is a big blanket for the psyche, it falls on the team, you throw away even the biggest punches. On the contrary, you collect from nothing. Although according to the protocol, Pardubice played at home, but it was outside because that is the Bohemka stadium. I’m afraid that Pardubice won’t make it this year.

I was also surprised by the defeat of Slovácko at home against Jablonec, big congratulations to his coach David Horejš, the team will be encouraged. He arrived in Slovácko perfectly prepared, and it worked out for him. He needed it, he was moving in the lower levels since the beginning of the competition, now he can breathe.

If fatigue from the match in Germany in the Conference League showed on Slovácko, I certainly wouldn’t make excuses for her. If I want to play in Europe, I have to count on the fact that the matches will run quickly. It means speeding up regeneration or having a wider cadre. You can’t cry. I’m curious how coach Martin Svědík will approach this. He can be very aggressive, the basic line-up will probably undergo significant changes.
