Ecuador with ‘heavy artillery’ for the South American Games in Asunción

Led by the weightlifter Neisi Dajomescurrent Olympic champion, 225 Ecuadorian athletes in 28 sports will participate in the next South American Games of Asunción, Paraguay, which will be played between October 1 and 15, qualifiers for the Pan American Games of Santiago 2023.

Among the outstanding tricolor figures in Paraguay will be the Olympic weightlifting champion Neisi Dajomes; the multi-medallist of the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, United States 2022, in speed skating, Gabriella Vargas; and the 2019 vice world boxing champion, Julius Castle.

In addition, the South American Games are also announcing the return of the judokas Lenin Preciado and Vanessa Chalá.

According to the payroll, athletics will be the largest delegation, with 29 athletes, including walkers Glenda Morejon y Daniel Painted, who will dispute the distance of 20 km.
