Ramadhan Santana was called by the Indonesian National Team for the first time. The young striker of PSM Makassar is ready to prove himself in front of Shin Tae-yong.

Sananta was one of 23 players called by Shin Tae-yong. His name was chosen as part of the squad to strengthen Indonesia against Curacao at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium in FIFA Match Day, Saturday (24/9) and Tuesday (27/9) at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor.

Sananta was immediately present at the Garuda squad’s training session, which was held at the Persib Stadium, Monday (19/9) yesterday afternoon. He was seen following a training session with other players under Shin Tae-yong’s command.

Regarding his summons to the Indonesian national team, Sananta admitted that he was surprised. He didn’t even expect coach STY to glance at him.

“At first I heard about it. It was nice to be called up to the national team (for the first time), let alone joining the senior national team,” said Ramadhan Sananta, as reported by detikJabar.

In the Indonesian national team squad, Sananta will compete with two regular attackers. There are Dimas Drajad (Persikabo 1973) and Muhammad Rafli (Arema FC) on the front lines.

Even though he came as a debutant, Sananta was ready to prove himself worthy of the Red and White uniform. “God willing, if I am given the trust to play, I will prove it,” he said.

Ramadhan Sananta himself was in the spotlight thanks to his slick appearance with PSM Makassar. Noted, Sananta has played 6 times and collected three goals for the Juku Eja squad in the Liga 1 competition this season.

Together with the Indonesian national team, Sananta wants to give his best performance. He is also waiting for his first moment playing with the Garuda squad on Saturday tomorrow.

“The target is, of course, I can give my best,” said Ramadhan Sananta.
