Jordan Veretout, recruited Friday by OM, is already in the group selected by coach Igor Tudor to face Reims this Sunday (8:45 p.m.) during the first day of Ligue 1, which Marseille will play without their goalkeeper Pau Lopez.
The midfielder, transferred from AS Roma, arrived in Marseille on Friday to undergo his medical examination and sign his contract. The French international has only trained once with his new team-mates and is expected to come on as a substitute against Reims.
Injured during the preparation, Pau Lopez had to forfeit. The duration of his unavailability is not known. It is another Spaniard, Ruben Blanco, who arrived at OM this summer, who will keep the goals. Midfielder Pape Gueye and defender Duje Caleta-Car are suspended.
