Defeating Lithuania 64-61 in the quarter-finals of the FIBA ​​Men’s Under-18 European Basketball Championship, Turkey advanced to the semi-finals. The crescent-star team will face Slovenia in the semi-finals.

Starting the game with the points scored by Krivas from the foul throw, Turkey caught a 10-0 series against its opponent and outperformed the fourth minute by 10-2. After recovering, Lithuania reduced the gap to 1 point with 3 minutes remaining (11-12), but the crescent-star team finished the period 22-17 ahead.

In the first 5 minutes of the second period, where both teams were able to score a basket, Turkey prevailed 24-19. The Nationals finished the period with a 32-27 victory.

Starting the third quarter with Berke and Özgür’s baskets, Turkey increased the lead to 9 points in the 22nd minute: 36-27. In the 26th minute of the match, Karahan’s basket brought the score to 43-37, and Lithuania, which caught the 11-0 series, dominated 48-43. Lithuania finished the period ahead 48-45.

Responding with a 7-0 series to Lithuania, who had a 54-47 advantage by 7 points in the last 5 minutes of the match, Turkey caught a 54-54 draw with 3 minutes left. Finding consecutive points with Arda, Turkey took the lead 59-57 with 1 minute and 13 seconds left. The moon-star team won the match, the last part of which was the scene of a great struggle, 64-61.

Advancing to the semi-finals, Turkey will face Slovenia on Saturday, August 6th.
