The Zebras become yellow and blue: presented the new jerseys

The shirt of a club carries within it many symbols and many messages and that of Zebre Rugby Club for the 2022-2023 season is no exception. New for next year is first of all the adoption of the yellow-blue colors that identify the logo of the Municipality of Parma, the city that since 2012 hosts and supports the franchise owned by the Italian Rugby Federation.

A bond, that with the ducal city, already expressed during the presentation of the new Zebre Parma logo and now proudly reaffirmed in the game uniforms that will be worn by the XV of the North West on the occasion of the prestigious international matches against the best teams in Europe, United Kingdom and South Africa competing in the two tournaments United Rugby Championship and EPCR Challenge Cup.

Innovation, but also history and identity: the new Zebras shirts reproduce the writing in memory of the video analyst Luca Sisti who died in 2015 following a road accident and integrate it with a tribute to Leonardo Mussini, the head of the communication and marketing area of the club, who died prematurely in September 2021. LUCA AND LEO ALWAYS WITH US is the phrase depicted in the back of the neck that recalls two souls and columns of the club, bringing them with him on the pitch at every match.

The new Zebre Rugby Club United Rugby Championship home & away jerseys for the 2022-2023 competitive season were presented together with Macron, technical partner of the federal franchise. Both uniforms contain a strong message of sustainability and respect for the environment because they are made of Eco-Fabric, 100% polyester from recycled plastic.

The new ‘Home’ is blue and has a V-neck with yellow edges. On the sleeves and on the sides of the shirt there is, on the front and back, in yellow, the zebra graphic identifying the soul of the Zebre Rugby: a pattern created by Areaitalia, a communication and advertising agency in Parma, partner of the club since the year of its foundation in 2012. The backneck is customized with the company logo. The phrase LUCA E LEO ALWAYS WITH US is printed in white on the external back-neck, in memory of Luca Sisti and Leonardo Mussini. On the chest, on the right, the Macron Hero, in the center the logo of the Italian Rugby Federation and on the left the emblem of the club. The Italian flag is inserted in the lower back of the shirt, in a crescent shape, and lower down the inscription AUT FACERE SCRIBENDA, AUT SCRIBERE LEGENDA, a Latin motto written by Pliny the Younger and whose meaning is what the players of the Zebras, engaged on camps all over Europe have the duty and privilege to ‘do things worthy of being written and narrated’. The shorts are blue with a band on the sides that incorporates the yellow zebra graphic of the shirt and in the back they have the tricolor crescent. The blue socks have the Macron Hero in yellow in front, a tricolor vertical band on the calf and the word ZEBRE in yellow.

The ‘Away’ version, again with a V-neck and blue details and the tricolor on the edges, is white and the zebra graphics on the sleeves and sides are yellow and blue. The design and graphic elements reflect those of the first jersey. Macron Hero, in blue, FIR logo and Zebre Rugby Club crest on the chest. In the reverse the phrase in memory of Luca and Leo. On the bottom of the shirt the tricolor crescent and the motto in Latin. The white shorts have yellow and blue zebra graphics on the hips, the white socks feature the Macron Hero on the front and the tricolor vertical band on the back.

Both jerseys have a Body Fit fit, the main fabric used is Eco-Armevo and the inserts are in Eco-Bodytex, materials that, in addition to lightness and breathability, ensure maximum resistance. The new match kits, as well as the exclusive line of clothing and merchandising that Macron creates for Zebre Rugby Club, are available in the section dedicated to the club on the macron.com website and in some Macron Sports Hub stores, including the one in Parma on the street. dei Mercati 10 and at the Citadel of Rugby in Parma during the matchdays of the XV of the North West.
