During the last two seasons, the Los Angeles Lakers have not been able to meet expectations and the constant absences of Anthony Davis due to physical problems have been one of the main reasons for his irregular performance.
Thinking about the 2022-23 NBA campaign, the idea of trading Davis does not seem to be a priority, but several teams could seek a deal with the Californians for his services, this being the case with the Atlanta Hawks.
They would put John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Frank Kaminsky on the table with this objective, a juicy exchange package that would surely make Rob Pelinka think about whether or not to leave Davis thinking about the future, since he has at least three remaining seasons with the organization.
For the Hawks it would be a direct bet for the championship, since joining Davis with Trae Young and Dejounte Murray would place them among the great contenders in the Eastern Conference thinking about the Finals.
In the case of the Lakers, the gain is clear and it is the fact of adding a much more consistent player like Collins to play power forward alongside Frank Kamisky as his alternative in the rotation, as well as a reliable shooter like Bogdanovic, occupying a position in which Californians today have nothing certain.
Although this agreement seems unlikely at least for now, it is an option that both organizations can explore and even more considering their interests for the new campaign.
