The evening of August 2 started with the B League matches between “Jūrnieka yjsda” and “Vaiųde”, “ABAkompania” and “SLV Pluss”.
In the first of the duels, an exciting and intense battle, a draw was recorded with the result 1-1, but in the second game, where the leaders met with the “recently” of the tournament, “SLV plus” won with 4-1.
Immediately after the B League matches, the A League teams took to the field. The leaders of the tournament “TEM/LVAGROO” faced the motivated “FK Blaķene”, which, despite creating several excellent goal-scoring moments, experienced a minimal loss with 1-2. It should be noted that “TEM/LVAGROO” have currently not lost a single game in the championship.
In the parallel game, ”FK Zvejnieks” and ”Liepājas centra parshva” fought, however, the representatives of ”Zvejnieks” did not succeed in the game at all, as a result of which they suffered a loss with 0-5.
“FK Nīca/OtankiMill” and “Medze/BL Serviss”, as well as B League teams “RT Metāls” and “Izzauc Party” met in the first games of Thursday evening.
Although the people of Nicaea were already in the lead in the first minute of the game, at the end of the game, they had a convincing victory with 5-1, where four of the team’s goals were scored by Valdis Nicis. In a hot-blooded battle, in which there were also some sharp turns, “RT Metāls” took the victory in the parallel game.
At 8:15 p.m., the match between “FK Caljan” and “Liepājas centra pravše” started, the representatives of “Caljan” turned out to be better in the resulting match with 3-2.
“FK Nīca/OtankiMill” player Valdis Nicis, who has already scored 12 goals during the championship, has established himself as the top scorer with four goals scored during the game. Remir Moseichenko (“TEM/LVAGROO”) and Dan Hoon (“FK Caljan”) scored six goals each in the A League.
Artis Zalonskis (“RT Metāls”) also did not leave the honor of the top scorer in the B League with five goals, while his closest followers – Žan Vasiļjev (“SLV Pluss”), Maksim Babjukas (“Izzauc party”) and Richard Auznieks ( “Priekule/Ruži”).
There is one more round of the group tournament left in the Liepāja city amateur football championship, where the final placement in the tournament table will be determined. Next Thursday, August 11, the semi-finals will begin.
