It was not the day for Andrey Rublev today in Montréal. We are used to seeing him lose his nerve on the track when things don’t go his way, and today he offered another episode in his lack of self-control. He inflicted several injuries on the knuckles and fingers of his right hand repeatedly hitting the strings of his racket with his fist, totally frustrated that he couldn’t get close to Dan Evans, to whom he ultimately lost a double 6- Four. The Russian ended up breaking his racket to the boos of the public.
