Mercato Mercato – PSG: Juve goes into high gear for Paredes! – Soccer

According to the Italian press, Juventus Turin have reached an agreement with midfielder Leandro Paredes. The Italian club must now agree with PSG on the transfer price.

Paredes could leave PSG this summer

The Paris Saint-Germain transfer window is far from over. After Vitinha, Hugo Ekitike and Nordi Mukiele, the capital club is preparing to register a fourth summer recruit in the coming hours. Arriving in Paris on Wednesday for his medical examination, midfielder Renato Sanches (Lille) must sign his contract on Thursday.

At the same time, the Parisian management is still working on several departures. This week, Paris SG made progress on the Georginio Wijnaldum and Idrissa Gueye files. The first is heading to AS Roma as part of a loan with an option to buy (€10m), the second is close to returning to Everton, his former club. In recent hours, things have also accelerated for Leandro Paredes (28).

A Juve-Paredes accord?

According to information from Sky Italia, Juventus Turin and the Parisian midfielder have reached an agreement for a transfer this summer. The Italian club decided to accelerate on this file after the serious injury of Paul Pogba, who chose not to have knee surgery to keep a chance of playing in the next World Cup in Qatar. The French international will instead follow a 5-week conservative therapy.

If the Old Lady has reached an agreement with the Argentinian international, she must now agree with PSG on the transfer compensation. A priori, the French champion would not be so greedy to part with an element under contract until June 2024. While a price of between 20 and 30 million euros has been mentioned in recent weeks, the Italian media affirms that an offer of 15 M€ can satisfy the Parisian leaders in this file. Case to follow…
