A few days after coming to FC Volendam, Carel Eiting immediately received a basic place in the first league match of the season. The 24-year-old midfielder, who came over on a free transfer from English club Huddersfield Town, will kick off against FC Groningen at 12.15 pm.

Norwegian striker Jørgen Strand Larsen has a base place at FC Groningen, despite interest from some foreign clubs. Groningen does not want to let go of last season’s top scorer (fourteen goals).
