Las Vegas Aces and Iliana Rupert win against Chicago Sky

The two conference leaders of the WNBA faced off Thursday in the regular season. At home, the Las Vegas Aces, who lead the standings in the West, dominated the Chicago Sky (89-78), in the lead, for its part, in the East. Kelsey Plum (25 points) and Jackie Young (22) carried the Nevada franchise, while on the Chicago side, Kahleah Copper scored 28 points.

Iliana Rupert, the French pivot of the Aces, played 17 minutes, for three points scored (1/2 shooting including 1/1 three-pointer), five rebounds, three assists and one interception. Three days from the end of the regular season, Las Vegas and Chicago have the same record of 25 wins and 10 losses.

Six teams (out of eight) are currently qualified for the play-offs: Chicago, Connecticut and Washington, in the Eastern Conference, Las Vegas, Seattle and Dallas, in the West. The last two tickets will be played between New York and Atlanta (East) and Minnesota and Phoenix (West).
